Celebrating
I recently hosted my own birthday party. I asked everyone who came to bring, in lieu of a gift, something to celebrate who they were. I wanted each one to share what they were celebrating about themselves at this moment in time. I wanted to know how they were defining who they were.
The sharing of miracles was a loving and lovely experience. People shared what they were honoring about themselves, what they were grateful for, and how they had grown through adversity. We laughed, we cried, we honored one another. The poem called 'Celebration' on this site's Weekly Wisdoms was my contribution to the sharing.
One participant named Gwen shared. She brought beautiful melodious windchimes. Along with them she read the following:
I celebrate the presence of my being. I am as a chime in the wind which at times is still but always with the potential for movement making a majestic and peaceful melody as Spirit flows freely among many parts unbound to the earth but finely connected to the above.
Won't you celebrate yourself? What is the miracle that you are? How do you define yourself right now? Are you being who you want to be? I joyn with you in celebrating the Real in you and the miracle that you are.
