A Miracle for Mother
Every Friday evening a Reiki Clinic is held in my office. Masters and Master initiates as well as others who have taken my Reiki classes come to give Reiki treatments to anyone who walks through the door.
One such evening a young woman who had been to the clinic before, brought her mother for a treatment. Doctors had found a lump in her breast and wanted to remove it surgically. The daughter and the mother. both whom had been trained in Reiki, wanted to try an alternative to medical intervention.
Reiki is an ancient method of natural healing, with the Reiki practitioner being a conduit for the Universal Life Force Energy. The energy flows through the practitioner who has been attuned by a Master, and into the person receiving Reiki by a gentle placing of the hands on the body. The Energy flowing into the body quickens the healing on all levels [physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual], reduces or eliminates pain, and brings relaxation and a sense of well-being to the recipient.
The following week after the mother of the young woman received a treatment, she returned to the doctor for further x-rays. She told me that the technician kept coming back to take additional pictures of her breast and that there was an increased gathering of medical personal who had come to look at her display of x-rays. When she inquired as to what all the fuss was about, she was told they were having difficulty locating the lump. They were sure it was there, because the lump was clearly visible in the x-rays that were taken some days earlier.
Well, the confused staff never did find that lump. The mother left the hospital smiling and full of joy and gratitude.
The Course tells us "There is no order of difficulty in miracles". It also tells us that "Each day should be devoted to miracles".
